Formula Software Releases Excel Compare 2.0

Excel file and spreadsheet comparison tool that frees you from finding differences manually.

Excel documents are ubiquitous in today's office environment. They are used by accountants and doctors, marketing professionals and online entrepreneurs, students and professors. Excel documents are used as price lists and scientific data sheets. Naturally, these documents are often updated and altered. Finding the differences between different Excel files or spreadsheets is painstaking and may take hours, if done manually.

Formulasoft releases Excel Compare 1.0

Formulasoft announces the release of Excel Compare - a handy tool for automatic comparison of Excel documents.

Microsoft's Excel is one of the most popular office software in the world right now and has long become the industry standard. With so many great features, MS Excel is ideal for building tables, data sheets and reports. However, when it comes to comparing different reports to see what data (if any) has changed, most people have to do it manually, which is frequently almost impossible due to the large volume of data.

Formulasoft's Excel Compare allows you to automatically analyze any number of Excel documents or their components (parts). Advanced comparison algorithm promptly provides correct results when comparing files, directories, worksheets or selected data parts. The cells that contain different results (i.e. the data has changed) are automatically highlighted and the results of a comparison report are presented as a new Excel sheet.

Importantly, this "Differences Report" can keep the format of the compared data. Advanced Excel users will be glad to know that Excel Compare supports automatic addition of user-defined macros, project settings, and command line options.
